Audiovisual Technologies Ch. 11

Traditional audio technology devices are over head projectors and posters. Traditional visual technological that can be used in the classroom are books. Emerging audio technologies are internet videos and emerging visual technologies are e-books. All of these devices listed are very helpful inside the classroom. the traditional tools such as the over head and books are beneficial in different ways. The overhead shows the words on a bigger screen and all the students can see and follow along with a worksheet or vocab. The books are a traditional masterpiece, that teaches and entertains the students. Emerging tools that are also helpful are internet videos and e-books. Internet videos are great when showing a example and e-books are extremely convienent. Instead of carrying numerous books around students can use an handheld that stores all of the books that they are reading.

Response to Chapter 6 Question (:

Based on the information in the chapter, I would much rather want to teach in a classroom where the technology usage is available in high amounts as opposed to low. I feel that in the past few years, America has grown tremendously in the techonological department. Teaching in a classroom without technology would hinder the children from knowledge and experience that they would need in the future. As stated in the text, computer systems in the classroom expands the childrens capabilities. Computers are the oldest and most used technological sysytem in the classroom. It is used for many things, research, data merges, powerpoints, and much more. Computers aren't the only tools that are helpful, throughout the chapter is talks about the use of scanners, digital cameras, touch screens, scantrons,white boards, voice activation devices, and handhelds. All of the technological devices will have beneficial effects on the children. You can appeal to many different learning styles and children with disabilities.

I'm 5 foot even, I have been this heightt since i was in the eighth grade. Lucky me!! I'm originally from the south but i grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. I graduated from the largest highschool in Ohio, Fairfield High. I'm majoring in AYA education and my focus is english. I love to write, its a great way to express, and i tend to use it as an outlet. My other outlet is my family. I adore my family, they're very  important to me. I have one little sister, shes ten. The best part of my amazing family is my puppy Remi! In high school I was the starting point guard since my sophomore year, basketball was my life. I also dance, I'm on the hiphop dance team here on campus called Elem3nt. That takes up alot of my time here but I wouldn't have it any other way.
