Based on the information in the chapter, I would much rather want to teach in a classroom where the technology usage is available in high amounts as opposed to low. I feel that in the past few years, America has grown tremendously in the techonological department. Teaching in a classroom without technology would hinder the children from knowledge and experience that they would need in the future. As stated in the text, computer systems in the classroom expands the childrens capabilities. Computers are the oldest and most used technological sysytem in the classroom. It is used for many things, research, data merges, powerpoints, and much more. Computers aren't the only tools that are helpful, throughout the chapter is talks about the use of scanners, digital cameras, touch screens, scantrons, white boards, voice activation devices, and handhelds. All of the technological devices will have beneficial effects on the children. You can appeal to many different learning styles and children with disabilities.
